Shanxi Xinhua Chemical Defense Equipment Research Institute Co., Ltd. is located in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It was founded in 1953 and currently has over 1, 400 employees. As a national military-civilian integrated enterprise, it is affiliated to China North Industries Group Corporation and is one of the 156 key projects during the country′s First Five-Year Plan. It is also the birthplace of activated carbon production technology in China. After more than 70 years of exploration and leapfrog development, Shanxi Xinhua is the only dual-support military enterprise in the national protection field that retains the research and production capabilities of military products. It is the drafting unit of the national standards for coal-based activated carbon and three-proof protective equipment, the affiliated unit of the Activated Carbon Professional Committee of the China Ordnance Society, and the president unit of the Shanxi Activated Carbon Industry Association. It is the National Mobilization Center for gas masks and collective protective equipment, a designated production plant for civil air defense equipment, and a national enterprise technology center. The activated carbon products have passed the NSF certification of the United States, and the gas masks have reached the international advanced level.

Passed ISO9001 quality system certification and ISO14001 environmental system certification; And it was restructured and listed with Beihua Co., Ltd. In 2017.

With strong scientific research capabilities and powerful production capacity, we are committed to developing activated carbon and the environmental protection industry based on activated carbon. We have three major civilian product series: Protection, environmental protection, and activated carbon, covering many fields such as air purification and water purification, civil air defense, anti-terrorism, fire protection, armed police, aerospace, public health, environmental protection, petrochemicals, emergency disaster reduction and rescue, etc. "Xinhua" brand activated carbon and gas masks are well-known brands in China and famous trademarks in Shanxi Province.
